We have looked high and low to help you make extra money. Do some of these things 10 times a month and you can be on the road to financial freedom.

$500 a month does not sound like much; however, these proven ways, along with my snowball calculator and your discipline, could pay off your debts in less than ten years. Just imagine what your world would be like without any debt!

The illustration below shows how $500 more a month added to your monthly debts can achieve the goal of being debt-free. The spreadsheet can be found on my home page.

Now that I have shown you how to be debt-free, the following ways can help you make $50 a day. If you can make $1000 a month from these income ideas, you will be better off than the illustration above.

  1. Sell prints on Etsy: If you love taking pictures, painting, or can do digital drawings, Etsy is a great place to sell them. You could easily sell $200-$300 a month. Find your niche and passion, and this will be a joy to do.

  2. Join a focus group: There are many to pick from, such as User Interviews, Focusgroup.com, American Consumer Opinion, Resondent.io, Recruit and Field, Ipsos i-say, Google Usability, and Survey Feeds. The pay range is from $10 to $2000, depending on the company and the survey.

  3. Amazon Flex: If it is available in your area, you can work delivering packages or groceries from Whole Foods. There are usually 3-4 hour shifts, and the pay is about $19-23 an hour.

  4. Become a Freelancer: Many tasks can be done, such as a proofreader, bookkeeper, data entry, to name a few. You will have to bid on projects; however, it can be gratifying. Some companies are peopleperhour.com, Upwork, Fiverr, and freelancer.com.

  5. Deliver for Instacart: This is the company that you shop for groceries and deliver them using an app. It can be any grocery store, even Target, and Walmart. You are paid a base pay per order and tips based on the demand and items for an order. If you are an early riser and have the time, there are many opportunities.

  6. Post on Nextdoor: If you can do various jobs, try posting on Nextdoor.com and help your neighbors and get paid to do it. Things like trimming bushes, washing windows, and the list goes on and on. This can be a great side hustle, and when neighbors find out your good at what you do, making $500 should be a snap.

  7. Dog walker/Sitter: This is self-explanatory. If you love animals, why not get paid for them.

  8. Nanny for Hire: If you are out of work and love kids, then this is the gig for you. Because of Covid-19, there is a high demand for this service. There are a few websites that can help you find the right job. Some of the sites are care.com, sittercity.com, urbansitter.com, and nannycare.com.

  9. Take Surveys: This is like being part of a focus group, but you are taking quick surveys most times. They do not pay like a focus group but still can earn you $25-$200 a month.

  10. Food Delivery Services: There a quite a few that may fit your schedule. As of the last count, 22 companies are offering this type of service. These companies can fill a gap, but most average around $12 an hour; Doordash claims their drivers averaged $22. This does not count for your gas or the wear and tear on your car. To name a few of the more popular ones Grubhub, Doordash, Uber Eats, and Postmates.

  11. Become a Tasker: This is an opportunity to work when you want. The company you want to work with is Taskrabbit.com. Some of the tasks are running errands, helping at a party, assembling furniture, and doing yard work. It depends on the job, but you could easily make $500. Some taskers earn $5000-$6000 a month. Be creative and be prepared to roll up your sleeves have fun while making money.

  12. Teach English to international students: If you love to help and teach, this is the perfect job for you. Most of the hours, though, are very early or late because of the time zones. There are restrictions. Most if not all companies require a bachelor's degree and are fluent in English. You could make around $22 an hour and earn incentives based on the time and the number of hours you teach. A few of the companies are VIPKid, DADA, Qkids, Skooli, and Gogokid.

  13. Become an affiliate marketer: If you have a blog, this is a great way to make passive income. If not, there are still opportunities to make hundreds of dollars a month. For example, I have an affiliate link, and if you sign up and post by site on your social media and people buy my book, lifetime subscription or sign up for Hotels Etc, you will make a 20% commission. You would make $4 on every book, $7 on every subscription, and $20 on every hotel, etc., subscription. If 50 people bought each item, you would make $1550.

  14. Baby/child sitter: This is an excellent opportunity at present. Because of Covid-19, many people have found there is a shortage of child care. I'm not saying do this every day, but if you let family and friends know you are available, this can be a great side gig, and you will help others out while paying down your debt.

In conclusion there are many ways to help with making an extra few bucks to pay down your debt or have money for a night out on the town or save for a nice vacation. The first step to making extra money is to have the motivation and confidence to pursue it. Most people have good intentions but taking the first step is the hardest. I have done and will continue to do research and homework so you can get out of debt and live the life you want to have. With the above ideas you could make $500-$2000 a month and be on your financial freedom.
